Sentient is a sci-fi TV series being developed by Sydney-based Presence Global Entertainment. While October Productions is among the many collaborators world-wide bringing this series to life, we’ve also been helping them with their web presence – a site critical to the collaborative effort.

In addition to debugging theme issues, October Productions created the Leaderboard WordPress plugin for Sentient. The plugin tracks user collaboration points in a number of ways – by tracking a user’s activity on the site and their contribution to the production, and by allowing producers and other collaborators to award points for special contributions or projects. These points will then be used to determine each contributor’s share of production profit when the program is completed and sold.

The Leaderboard plugin, while written for Sentient, was written to be a flexible and generic community activity and contribution plugin for any WordPress site. Contact October Productions for more information about Leaderboard, or to develop a custom plugin for your WordPress website.
